In recent years the interest of the scientific community has focused on the 2 most important carotenoids: lutein and zeaxanthin.
Lutein is a yellow carotenoid that is not made by the body and therefore should be taken through diet or supplements. Like all carotenoids, lutein is a powerful antioxidant, helping to neutralize free radicals. This biological role of lutein is particularly important, as lutein is found in high concentrations in the macula. In addition to its antioxidant action, lutein also acts as a natural filter of ultraviolet radiation.
Eyewise provides 10mg of lutein (pure, free form of lutein of plant origin) per tablet, making our product one of the strongest on the market. Also contains:
• high amount of zeaxanthin,
• titrated bilberry extract,
• titrated red grape seed extract (grapeseed) and
• titrated raspberry extract (blackberry)
• Riboflavin and Zinc which contribute * to normal vision
